                 Student Council Roles & Responsibilities

 

                    President 

  • Attends the Student Council Meetings

  • Helps manage meetings and create the meeting agendas

  • Represents Sheridan Street Elementary at school events

  • Makes announcements

  • Participates in all school events

                   Vice-President 

  • Attends the Student Council Meetings

  • In case the president cannot perform his/her duties, he/she will take over as

    president

  • Helps manage the meeting and create the meeting agendas

  • Makes announcements and participates in school events

                   Secretary

  • Attends the Student Council meetings

  • Reads minutes of last meeting

  • Takes minutes at each Student Council meeting

  • Takes attendance at each meeting

  • Makes announcements and participates in school events

                 Treasurer

  • Attends the Student Council meetings

  • Helps count items/money for fundraisers

  • After each fundraiser, he/she will announce how much money was made and

    give an updated report of the balance

  • Count votes

  • Make announcements and participates in school events

                Historian

  • Attends Student Council meetings

  • Make announcements and participate in school events   

  • Record through pictures and video events held by Student Council

    throughout the year

  •  Assist Secretary as needed
