School Mission
The Staff and Faculty at Sheridan Street Elementary School believe that our school is a central hub for our neighborhood. We believe that creating strong partnerships with parents, families, and community organizations will support us with ensuring that all students reach proficient levels of academic success and social emotional learning outcomes. Our mission is to create life-long critical thinkers and problem solvers who will be college-prepared and career-ready in our diverse society by providing a core-curriculum with high expectations for all students in a safe and supportive environment. We strongly believe that addressing the needs of our students will promote self-discipline and self-motivation in all students.

The Staff and Faculty at Sheridan Street Elementary School and Two-Way Immersion DUAL Language Program School are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment in which all students can achieve their maximum academic and social-emotional potential. It is our core belief that together we will make decisions based on the needs of the whole-child to prepare our students to compete in the 21st Century work force.
